If you’re looking for a family-friendly Halloween outing that blends theme-park thrills with seasonal fun, the 2025 edition of SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular is calling your name. With festive décor, costumes, treats, activities for little ones (and big ones too) and the bonus of being included with regular park admission, it’s a great way to celebrate Halloween with the entire family!
Here’s everything you need to know, plus my favorite tips and must-see spots to make the most of your visit.
Event Dates
The Seaworld Spooktacular runs select dates from August 30 through November 2, 2025.
Costumes
Kids are encouraged to wear costumes (while keeping within the park’s costume rules: guests 13+ cannot wear masks or hoods.)
Must-See Spots & Activities
The Trick-Or-Treat Trail
Walk along a dedicated trail through the park and collect candy at multiple stations.

Pro tip: You’ll need to purchase a reusable trick-or-treat bag in the park (for example, from Coconut Bay Traders, Toy Store at Waterfront, etc.) in order to participate.
Also, the Teal Pumpkin Program is available for kids with food allergies: collect teal tokens at candy stations and redeem for allergy-friendly items.
Spookley The Square Pumpkin Harvest Maze
A new addition for 2025 is the Harvest Maze themed around Spookley the Square Pumpkin, a fun twist and a chance for memorable family photos. Nearby is the Pumpkin Garden where you may find “pumpkin fish” and story-telling sessions
Meet-A-Mermaid
In the Key West area of the park you’ll find mermaids in costume ready for meet-and-greets.
SeaWorld. Craft stations and cookie-decorating sessions (available for purchase) give kids a fun, quieter break from rides. There are also dance parties (Bubble Dance Party, Scarecrow Dance Party) to help burn off energy.
The Sesame Street Halloween Parade
If you have young kids who love characters, this is a must. The beloved Sesame Street crew (Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Count von Count, Big Bird) dress up and bring the fun.

Tips for the BEST Spooktacular Day
- Download the SeaWorld App: Check for showtimes, dance party schedules, and parade routes in real time.
- Arrive Early: Plan to enter the park by 11 a.m. to enjoy lower crowds and catch early character interactions.
- Get Your Bag First: Purchase your trick-or-treat bag as soon as you enter so you don’t miss any candy stations.
- Pack Smart: Florida fall weather can be unpredictable so as always, bring sunscreen, a light jacket, and comfortable shoes.
- Plan Allergy-Friendly Stops: Take advantage of the teal token system for kids with food allergies.
- Take Family Photos Early: Catch your best smiles before the Florida heat (and sugar rush) sets in.
